Join our Ancient and Modern Lima Tour and immerse yourself in the rich history of the Peruvian capital. You will start in the vibrant Contemporary Zone, visit the impressive Huaca Pucllana, and explore the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank. Next, you will discover the San Francisco Monumental Complex and conclude in the Historic Center, admiring its iconic colonial buildings. A unique experience you can’t miss!
We will enjoy a tour exploring Lima in its three stages:
We will start our journey in the Contemporary Zone of Lima, where we will appreciate the main buildings and residential areas of the capital. We will visit Miraflores, Larcomar, and the Parque del Amor, where we will take a few minutes to enjoy the view along the coastline and take some photos.
Next, we will head to a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, an ancient ceremonial and archaeological center built during the 4th century AD. This site was considered a sacred town for the Incas.
We will also visit the Museum of the Central Reserve Bank*, where we will admire the collection of treasures from Peru, including ceramic and gold artifacts, as well as textiles from various pre-Columbian cultures.
Continuing our tour, we will explore the San Francisco Monumental Complex and Catacombs, which is the largest display of colonial religious art in America. This convent features its main attraction, the underground crypts known as the Catacombs.
Finally, we will make our way to the Historic Center of Lima, where we will appreciate what was once the old walled Lima with over fifty monuments and colonial buildings, including the Paseo de la República, Plaza San Martín, Plaza Mayor, Government Palace, Municipal Palace, Archiepiscopal Palace, and the Basilica Cathedral, among others.
