Maras Moray Tour

Hotel Pickup in Cusco: We start the tour with pickup from your hotel to head to the Sacred Valley in comfortable tourist transportation.
Visit to Moray: We explore the Moray archaeological complex, a system of circular terraces that the Incas used as a center for agricultural experimentation. The guide will explain how this site was key to the domestication of Andean crops.
Visit to the Maras Salt Mines: We continue to the impressive Maras Salt Mines, a collection of more than 3,000 terraced salt pools on a hillside. Here you will learn about the ancestral process of salt extraction, which is still in use today.

Tourist Ticket: Entrance to Moray requires the Partial or Integral Tourist Ticket. Be sure to purchase it in advance or pay the cost directly on-site. The Maras Salt Mines require a separate entrance ticket, which is included in the tour.
Altitude: Moray is located at 11,483 ft (3,500 masl). We recommend being acclimatized in Cusco (11,152 ft) for at least one day before taking this tour.
Punctuality: Pickup and itinerary are coordinated to optimize time, as this is a half-day tour. Please be ready in your hotel lobby at the indicated time.
