Itinerary

Ancestral, Colonial, and Modern Lima

Ancestral, Colonial, and Modern Lima

We will enjoy a tour exploring Lima in its three main stages:

We’ll begin in the Contemporary Zone of Lima, where you’ll appreciate the city’s key buildings and residential areas. We’ll visit Miraflores, Larcomar, and the Love Park, where you’ll have some time to enjoy the view from the boardwalk and take photos.

Next, we’ll head to a panoramic view of Huaca Pucllana, an ancient ceremonial and archaeological center built in the 4th century AD. This site was considered sacred by the Incas.

We will then visit the Central Reserve Bank Museum (optional), home to a collection of Peru’s treasures, including ceramics, gold artifacts, and textiles from various pre-Columbian cultures.

Continuing our tour, we’ll visit the San Francisco Monastery and Catacombs, one of the most impressive examples of colonial religious art in the Americas. Its main attraction is the underground crypts, also known as the Catacombs.

Finally, we’ll explore Lima’s Historic Center, also known as the old "Walled Lima", where you’ll see more than 50 monuments and colonial buildings, including the Republic Promenade, San Martín Square, Main Square, Government Palace, Municipal Palace, Archbishop’s Palace, and Cathedral Basilica, among others.

Note: Entry to the Central Reserve Bank Museum is optional and may be subject to change due to traffic, demonstrations, or other external factors.
*The museum is open Monday to Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
*The order of visits may vary depending on season, high demand, or scheduling.
