Important Information

Frequently Asked Questions

  • 1. What is the difference between this short trek and the classic 5-Day Salkantay Trek?
    • The 4-day short trek optimizes time by utilizing private transport on Day 3 from La Playa to Hydroelectric. This bypasses a long, less scenic walking segment, making it perfect for hikers with tight schedules who still want to experience Humantay Lake and the high Salkantay Pass.
  • 2. How does the accommodation work at Sky Camp?
    • It is a luxury glamping experience. You sleep in custom-designed igloo structures built with transparent polycarbonate roofs, allowing you to stargaze from your bed while staying warm, sheltered, and enjoying the comfort of a mountain lodge with complete dining and restroom facilities.
  • 3. How far in advance should I book this tour to get the best Machu Picchu circuits?
    • We strongly recommend booking at least 3 months in advance. This tour includes Circuit 2 (Machu Picchu’s most complete route) by default. The Peruvian government caps these tickets strictly, and they sell out rapidly worldwide.
