Important Information
Frequently Asked Questions
- 1. What is the benefit of booking the 5-day classic trek over the 4-day short version?
- The 5-day classic trek allows you to experience two unique highlights: spending the night inside the tropical Super Jungle Domes in Lucmabamba while visiting an organic coffee farm, and hiking a section of the genuine Inca Trail to Llactapata. Llactapata is the only viewpoint on the trail where you can see Machu Picchu from afar before arriving.
- 2. What is the glamping experience like in the Salkantay domes?
- It is premium outdoor lodging. The Sky Camp domes feature transparent roofs for stargazing from bed, the Mountain Sky View units provide insulated mountain cabins with magnificent vistas, and the Super Jungle Domes blend seamlessly into the lush rain forest. All base camps feature spacious dining areas and clean restroom facilities.
- 3. How far in advance should I book this tour to get the best Machu Picchu circuits?
- We highly recommend booking at least 3 to 4 months in advance. This ensures we can lock in Circuit 2 (Machu Picchu’s most complete and classic route), which faces massive international demand and is strictly capped by the Peruvian Ministry of Culture.
