All agesDiscover the historical and cultural richness of Cusco’s South Valley, a less-traveled but equally fascinating route. This tour takes you through scenic Andean landscapes, colonial towns, and unique archaeological sites.
We begin with a visit to Tipón, an impressive Inca complex known for its advanced hydraulic system and beautiful agricultural terraces. Next, we head to Pikillaqta, a pre-Incan city built by the Wari culture, where you’ll learn about its history and planned architecture.
We continue to the towns of Oropesa, Huaro, and Andahuaylillas, home to beautiful colonial churches. The highlight of the tour is the Church of Andahuaylillas, often called the Sistine Chapel of the Americas for its stunning frescoes and Baroque religious art. Along the way, we’ll also pass by Huacarpay Lagoon, a natural sanctuary home to Andean birds and picturesque views.
This tour is ideal for travelers seeking a deep cultural experience off the beaten path. Don’t miss the chance to explore Cusco’s hidden gems!
