Important Information

Frequently Asked Questions

1. Why is the tour 3 days and not 2? During peak season, the in-person ticket lines in Aguas Calientes are longer. We extended the tour to 3 days to give you a full buffer day to manage your entry without stress, ensuring you don’t miss the Citadel due to system delays.

2. Is it guaranteed that I will get my ticket in person? While ticket sales depend solely on the Ministry of Culture, our success rate is extremely high. By arriving on Day 1 and staying overnight, you are strategically positioned to get the first available slots for the next day.

3. Why visit the Sacred Valley on the first day? It’s a logistical advantage. By touring Chinchero, Maras, and Moray on Day 1, we drop you off at the train station in the afternoon. This allows you to wake up already in Aguas Calientes on Day 2, ready for the ticket process.

4. Can I pay for the Machu Picchu entry with a credit card? While the Ministry of Culture technically accepts cards, the system in town frequently crashes. Bringing cash in Soles is indispensable to avoid losing your spot in line.

5. Which circuit will I visit? In the “Last Minute” modality, circuits are assigned based on real-time availability. Usually, Circuits 1 or 2 (the most complete) are available, but specific mountain hikes (like Huayna Picchu) are rarely available last minute.
