Itinerary

Day 1: Full Sacred Valley (Chinchero, Maras, Moray & Ollantaytambo)

This day we will explore some of the most prominent sites in the Sacred Valley. Our first stop will be the Chinchero Archaeological Site, known for its Andean terraces and its vibrant textile tradition. Next, we will visit the impressive Maras Salt Mines, where hundreds of salt ponds create a unique landscape. We will continue to the mysterious agricultural laboratories of Moray, famous for their circular terraces, and finally arrive at Ollantaytambo, a majestic Inca fortress that preserves its original layout and a rich history.

Summary: We visit CHINCHERO, MARAS SALT MINES, MORAY, and OLLANTAYTAMBO. We will have a Buffet Lunch at one of the best restaurants in the Sacred Valley, TUNUPA. We then head to the train station to be transferred to the town of Machupicchu (Aguas Calientes) on the Expedition train.
